Established as the Lewis S. Pipkin Company in 1968, Pipkin & Associates, LLC is dedicated to providing quality appraisal and consulting services in East Tennessee and the surrounding area. Our principal members have over 75 years of combined appraisal related experience. We work closely with our clients to fully understand their needs and to provide the appropriate service on a given assignment. We offer strong underlying ethics combined with educational, experience and common sense. Lewis S. Pipkin, MAI, SRA, (retired)
established the Lewis Pipkin Company in 1968 after working for the University of Tennessee and State of Tennessee, Department of Transportation. His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and a Master of Science from the University of Tennessee. In addition, Mr. Pipkin has taught appraisal courses for the University of Tennessee, Roane State Community College, The Society of Real Estate Appraisers, and the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers. He has qualified to testify as an expert witness in various circuit and federal courts in Tennessee, and superior courts in North Carolina. Mr. Pipkin is a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and holds the MAI and SRA designations from the Appraisal Institute. He has served two consecutive terms as a member of the Tennessee Real Estate Appraiser Commission and one year as Chairman. Lewis S. Pipkin retired in September 2015.
David S. Pipkin
holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee with a major in real estate and urban development. He is a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser, a licensed affiliate real estate broker in Tennessee, and a candidate for the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute. David has worked in appraising since 1983 through out Middle and East Tennessee. He has provided testimony as an expert witness in various circuit courts and specializes in appraisals of commercial property and eminent domain acquisitions.
Donald B. Raines
joined the Company in 2003. His experience includes commercial and residential appraisal, various field work, and the educational requirements for state certification. He has an Associate of Science Degree from Roane State Community College. He is a Certified Residential Appraiser with the State of Tennessee and has an excess of 25 years of Information Technology experience.
Chase M. Conroy
holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History with a minor in business Administration from the University of Tennessee. He has been employed with Pipkin and Associates since June 2005 as a staff appraiser. He is a Tennessee State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.
Amy Coleman
has been with the firm since 2007. She provides additional staff support, maintains our database and performs research for current assignments. In order to insure an efficient office, she takes great pride in her organizational skills.
